Behind the Scenes: MBH Promo YouTube Video

At Multicultural Breast Health (MBH) Edmonton, we are thrilled to announce that our first YouTube promotional video is in the post-production editing stage right now! We filmed at Assist Community Services Centre by Southgate mall in Edmonton on Saturday, February 9, 2013. With the help of professional videographer, Rawane Nassif, the project coordinator, Sadia Anwar, and educators worked most of the morning and afternoon to introduce MBH's work to YouTube. Here is a sneak peek behind the scenes.

Filming this video has been a great team-work experience for all of us at MBH. We followed a plan but couldn't help improvise and laugh at some moments and work very hard at others. Over all, lots of experimentation and fun.

YouTube has become a major source of information for an increasing number of people around the globe and, naturally, we would love to catch up on that frontier.

The video will be ready to publish on the MBH YouTube channel approximately in a week’s time. It will be a promotional video to inaugurate the channel and introduce MBH’s services to the YouTube audience of immigrant women in Edmonton.

Following, we will start publishing short videos in other languages than English about breast health, mammograms, and other related topics. Languages will include Mandarine, Cantonese, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Vietnamese, Arabic, Somali and Hispanic.

We are especially glad that South Asian educator, Tamania Jaffri, was able to join the shoot on Saturday from Calgary. She was able to sit for translating and shooting the first ethnic educational video in Urdu.

Behind-behind-the-scenes. There is no reason why working for such an important cause as breast health awareness and crossing language barriers can't be interesting and vibrant.

When is the MBH Promo video going to be posted on YouTube?

We will post an update once available, but please check our social media channels to know the time it will be up and running on YouTube.

Facebook and YouTube tabs are just under the page title above.

Tune in! J
