1. Citrus:
All citrus fruits may boost the cancer-buster properties of photochemicals we
gain from other foods.
Use Lemon or
Lime in your salad dressing, or curries, and toss an orange into the blender,
with some frozen berries and ice water, for a sweet drink.
Squeezing lemon
in your soup right before you serve it spikes your taste buds!.
2. Dark Chocolate:Leave candy in favour of some rich dark chocolate, the higher the cocoa content, the healthier. It’s also rich in flavonoids, an antioxidant that convinces your body to send out "clean-up crews" to help detox your body.
Limiting yourself to a couple of squares is a way to refrain from overeating, and gain from the health benefits.
3. Flax: Flaxseed
oil or ground flaxseeds are great in salad, soup or even in smoothies. Flax
seed contains omega-3 which, with its anti-inflammatory properties, could help
prevent tumour growth.
It can also be found in Olive oil, oily fish and omega-three supplements.
4. Fruits and
veggies: Many people strive to obtain 7-10 servings, about half-cup
each, per day. Boosting your smoothies with fruits & vegetables, keeping a
fruit bowl ready to eat, and having salad with every meal, are some ways of
achieving your daily intake.
5. Garlic: No
meal has ever "suffered" from the addition of minced garlic, but has
benefited from it, as selenium, tryptophan and sulphur are part of garlic's
components. They discourage the development of cancer.

6. Seeds and nuts:Sunflower and pumpkin seeds have a
lot of plant proteins and oils, as well as vitamin E, zinc and vitamin C.
Walnut are rich in healthy oils and help make you feel full. Throw a handful in
your salad, into your muffins or in your cereal.

Tomatoes: Lycopen in tomatoes may have discouraging effects on
cancer growth, especially on prostate, lung and colon cancer. Use cooked or
Jared tomatoes to maximise lycopene intake.
8. Turmeric:
This yellow spice has mild earthy flavour, and is commonly known as Indian
Saffron. It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, along with
increasing responsiveness to chemotherapy. A couple of teaspoons in a pot of
chicken soup give colour and flavour depth to broth. You can also add it tomato
sauce.
