News: Mother Dies after Surgeon Performs Experimental Mastectomy


A mother of two has died after being treated by a surgeon who is being investigated over performing experimental "cleavage-sparing" mastectomies. Such a practice may raise cancer spread by 50%.
Surgeon Ian Paterson at Solihull Hospital in the United Kingdom has been suspended from medical practice.

A huge new Canadian study, started 1980, examined annual mammograms' ability to cut down breast cancer death rates. It compared them to regular physical exams.
